The Optus SuperServo
According to the 2022 ‘State of Tradies’ survey by Optus and YouGov, 75% of construction business owners saw a need for tech innovations to boost efficiency and save time. In response, Optus and Samsung partnered to showcase how their solutions could meet this need and engage one of Australia’s largest business sectors.
In summer 2023, we brought this vision to life through 'The Optus SuperServo' — an immersive physical activation designed to drive brand awareness and generate leads for Optus Business within the construction industry. Supporting existing partnerships with Coates and Walkinshaw Andretti United (WAU), and promoting the Samsung Rugged range, the pop-up service station appeared at two Coates locations in the Gold Coast and Adelaide ahead of the Supercars 500.
The Optus SuperServo is a bright, fun and stylised interpretation of a classic Aussie servo, where we demonstrated how Optus and Samsung products and services could help tradies work more efficiently, ultimately giving them back time in their day. It will be a place where they can make a quick pit stop to get business tips, an express car detail, to fuel up for the day with a grab-and-go meal and drink, or to get a Supercar fix with merch, prizes and more. 
Two custom-made gaming petrol pumps will be positioned at the entrance, creating theatre and excitement around the activation. Customers will be invited to play the pumps for a chance to win a range of prizes with a grab on the pump nozzle triggering to stop when the pump reaches exactly 500.
